Il-Kantra can be done as a shore dive, but the 103 steps stairs make it difficult to enter and escape, thus it is best done as a boat dive. It begins with a small rocky ledge 10 meters deep that quickly descends to a sandy bottom at 20 meters. The slope seabed following the wall on the right is mostly made up of Neptune grass at first, but as you go, the area becomes filled with enormous boulders, forming a couple of swim-throughs and offering cover for a variety of marine life.
