Dragonara Cave

The best way to get to this magnificent dive destination on Malta’s north coast is by boat. You will enter the ocean from one of our custom-built boats directly onto the reef below, tucked away in a little cove below the magnificent cliffy coastline. The swim-through into the spectacular collapsed Dragonara Cave is only a few meters from your entry point. Allow the grandeur of this unique diving location to unfurl before your eyes as you make your way through the cave’s underwater entrance.

This is an open-top cave where you may enter an almost circular coral lagoon and marvel at the gleaming and shimmering of the sunlight as it reflects off the cave walls and into the crystal-clear water below. The cave’s depth ranges from 2 to 6 meters, allowing you to surface within and see the high cliff walls and sky blue ceiling. With so much to offer, it’s no surprise that photographers who want to capture the gorgeous sights flock to this dive.

After exiting the cave, take a leisurely dive along the adjacent reef, which extends out along the shoreline and has a maximum depth of 25 meters, where you can rest and take in the colourful coral reef beds and the magnificent sea life that will surround you.
