Kapitlu Tlettax
Joseph and Edward, the founders of Kapitlu Tlettax, have been close friends since they were still at school. The group formed over a glass of wine by the sea on a hot Maltese summer night. Both were expressing their ideas; from that day, they knew surely that the time had come!
The group incorporates hip-hop music in its music, and the songs are in Maltese!! Their interest is to create a slightly rebellious and satirical hip-hop style, but there is also a sentimental element. They touched everyone’s hearts, both those who loved them and even those who hated them!!
L-Għanja tal-Poplu
In April 2016, they were named Finalists for their song Tama at the L-Ghanja tal-Poplu 2016 – Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija. DJ Mac David Leguesse and Shyli Cassar provided the music, and Shyli Cassar contributed lyrics alongside her brother Jasmar Cassar. Kapitlu Tlettax began working with several local artists, and last but not least, they have separate music video projects.
Performing “Antifona ta’ Imħabba,” a song written by Joseph Calleja and produced by Edward Magri with Ina Robinich and Dominic Cini, Kapitlu Tlettax competed in L-L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2017 on September 2.
