Antonio’s Barber Shop
Antonio, a gifted barber, was the first to start an Old School Barbering business in the Maltese Islands. Antonio’s significant professional experience was in the family restaurant business, but he has always felt that barbering was his true calling.
Antonio launched his first barbering salon in Paola after completing a local barbering course. Despite owning a successful barbershop, Antonio felt that barbering in Malta was not carried out professionally.
Antonio opted to move to the UK to study Old School Barbering in the most professional way possible, driven by his passion and determination to achieve his goal. Antonio visited and participated in various Old School Barbering Techniques seminars and conventions in the United Kingdom.
Antonio opened his second barbershop in Leicester, where he managed it effectively for five years. But, out of love for his homeland, Antonio returned to Malta to help develop this intriguing barbering trend in his land and spread this innovative barbering concept locally.
Antonio returned to Malta and opened his third barbershop in Balzan. Success came quickly, and the Maltese embraced this revolutionary barbering concept right away. Setting his sights on a more significant, more client-focused barbershop and realizing that the new Old School Barbering approach was gaining traction and popularity, he decided to open one. He decided to take a risk and go big.
His next move was a gigantic man cave with exceptional barbering services, bigger, better, and funkier. The fourth barbershop opened with a bang, offering the best barbering services along with billiards, beer, whiskey, coffee, and a relaxing atmosphere where any guy can relax and be pampered as they deserve.
With just one year under its belt, this barbershop was stocked with 14 exceptionally gifted barbers who had been taught and shaped to Antonio’s exacting standards. “My barbers are a mirror and an extension of myself,” he says.
The demand was enormous, as expected. It was necessary to open the fifth barbershop to reach more individuals. The fifth barbershop in Sliema’s bustling area opened because of Antonio’s dedication. Antonio’s Barber Shop in Sliema, which is still open today, was another big success story, prompting Antonio’s to consider opening a sixth barbershop.
